Boat Launch Closes for Repairs

Boating season is here!

But, if you're headed to Killarney Lake in North Idaho you will need to use another boat launch for spring and summertime fun.

The Killarney Lake Boat Launch on Killarney Lake, 20 miles east of Coeur d'Alene near Rose Lake, is closed to the public for repairs and rennovations.

The Bureau of Land Management said the new boat launch will feature a concrete ramp.

Although, repairs can't be made until the water is at a low levels which most likely won't be until next winter.

Journey to the Center of the Universe

Journey to the Center of the Universe

Apparently when you drive 80 miles outside of Spokane, you arrive at the center of the universe. In some cultures, they call that Wallace, Idaho. It may be the coolest town on I-90 between Coeur d'Alene and Missoula. In fact, I'm pretty sure it is. It's home to the Oasis Bordello Museum (a former brothel), the Northern Pacific Depot Railroad Museum and most recently, the Wallace Brewing Company. That was my first stop.
