This week, Silverwood Theme Park turned into one of the world's most unique classrooms. It's the park's 15th Annual Physics and Science Days.

Each year Silverwood holds this event where students can test the principles of physics and science for themselves using rides, games, and other attractions.

Victim's Mom Speaks Out

The mother of the Kellogg High School student bullied on a school bus speaks out, hoping to prevent another child from enduring the pain her daughter has experienced.

"She's hurt, she's devastated and she wants it to end," said Heidi Hershly, whose daughter was bullied last week.

Prosecutor Makes Charging Decision In School Bus Incident

Kootenai County prosecutors made a decision Wednesday in the stripping incident on a Kellogg school bus, however juvenile laws prevent the prosecuting attorney from saying whether the girls involved will be charged.

Smelterville To Hold ATV Poker Run, Street Dance

The town of Smelterville, Idaho is holding an ATV poker run and street dance to benefit the Shriners Hospital next month. Several hundred people show up each year to support this ride. The ride is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 25th in Smelterville.

Mines Fined for Clean Water Violations

The owner of the Coeur and Galena Mines agreed to pay the EPA $87,000 in penalties to settle Clean Water Act violations. Director of the EPA's Office of Compliance and Enforcement in Seattle says discharge violations in the Silver Valley are especially troubling.

The South Fork Coeur d'Alene River and its tributary streams are struggling to recover from a century of mine waste discharge," Kowalski said.
